Help in choosing exterior color

Hello guys,

I have been looking at a 2016 designo cardinal red C300. I need your suggestions, both positive and negative, if this would be a high-maintenance color or any other problems that may arise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like white. Black looks great for about 3 minutes after you wash it.
Both our Benzís are white. C250 is polar white and the ML is Caltic white.
Had silver and black before but never again will I have a black car.

Cardinal Red is a very sharp color in the sun...

1. Metallic's when they get rock chips can't be touched up by hand well - so you know.

2. If you're freaky about chips - then Paint Protection film done right is about $600 or so - hand cut for best fit - front end - back over the feners and 1/4 way back front hood - mirrors & rear rocker panels

3. You can make Cardinal Red (or any MB color) less maintenance if you apply a sealant on top of the clear coat before adding wax...

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, Cardinal Red does look good in the sun. I drove one today.

Also, looked at Iridium Silver. That color would probably be the safe choice since I keep a car forever.

I selected Iridium Silver (gunmetal grey IMHO) I love the look and I believe it will be most forgiving between washes.

Totally agree @mattml430 , I just traded a Raven Black ATS that looked fantastic in black but even in my garage with the door down it was dirty in no time!

While black MB really looks very elegant, but black is very hard to keep clean. I have a 1999 black C280 and after owning it for almost 20 years (I still have it with over 200K miles), I wowed never to buy a black car again. I have a 2015 C300 diamond silver and it looks great and easy to maintain.

Have you noticed all the kings and presidents worldwide always have black limousines. But then they have a huge staff at taxpayers' expense to keep the car washed and polished every day,.
