The run-flat tires are the worst. They are very loud, the ride is hard and as Phenom mentioned they puncture easily.
I have a 1999 C280 with over 220K miles and I believe I have had 3 -4 flat tires due to nail during almost 20 years I have the car. I bought a 2015 C300 with run-flat tires. In one year of use with only 8K miles, I had three flats from nails.
The RUN-FLAT is the biggest marketing hoax. If you get a nail in the tire, yes, you may be able to drive 20-30 miles to your home to your favorite tire shop. But then they will tell you, that the tire cannot be repaired. You have to buy a new tire for $200+. You are better off with non run-flat tires and call a tow truck if you get a flat. Or carry a air car or air pump.
