I was curious if anyone has replaced the oe Continental procontact GX SSR run flats with Continental’s other run flats specifically: Continental ContiProContact - #15500830000
Performance Touring All Season
Size: 225/45R18 Extra Load

I just replaced the front tires with these due to better tread wear reviews but now I’m wondering if there’s any risk since they’re different than the GX SSR’s.

Thoughts?

We have just got rid of the run flats on our C250 estate. Hate them, I also had them on the ML and we have replaced both with Michelin pilot sport 4 on the C250 and Michelin latitude sport on the ML.
Very happy with both.

I am thinking of doing the same. The run-flat are terrible. Did you get a spare tire for the trunk?

No we just got a bottle of gunk from Mercedes to put in the tyre if it ever goes flat.
We went with Michelin pilot sport 4ís.
So much better than the run flats. My wifeís very happy with them.
If we ever go away we take the ML and it has the spare, so the C250 is just running around town.
