High milage C63 owners?

Hello,

So im following this dude on youtube which appears to be working at a shop in UAE and there seems to be a ton of AMG mercs with engines being completely junk when he opens them up (bend rods, cracked pistons, bent crankshafts and more)

But one thing that keeps coming back is camshafts on the M156 engine. At 200 000km (125 000miles) they are trash, lifters are fine but the ends on the camshafts touching the lifters have lost their shape.
He thinks its bad engineering (his opinion) so that the manufacturer can make money because the facelift is just as bad when they could have fixed it.

So my question is, does anyone with high milage C63 experienced this and had their cams replaced ?

He says changing the oil before the recommended intervals or not drivning aggressively doesn´t help, at 200k they are trash.
Being UEA, very hot weather and a lot of sand (atleast compared to where im at) may be the reason, who knows..

If you wanna check him out on yt his name is "Tasos Moschatos"

That's true, after 120k + miles needs replace some engine parts , its a normal service recommended by the manufacturer. If you do not replace these parts, you can damage your engine ..
