Unhappy C63 2012 squeeking brakes

I purchased my second C63 in 2012 after I had problems with the 2010 C63 squeeking brakes. My dealer mailed me an bulletin added to the service manual that the vehicle has problems due to the size of the engine. Love the car but hate the fact that you can hear me coming around the corner a mile away. Does any body else have the same problem or just my luck that both my vehicles have this problem?

You are not alone
I bought a new C63 (2012 plated) November last year.
Brakes squeak - last 10-15 metres coming to a stop.
Dealer tells me it is brake glazing - due to around town driving.
Need to get out on the open road and do some hard driving / braking (so I'm told, to roughen up the brakes).
Try it and see.
I hope to do it this weekend !!
Regards
GFM

I've had my brakes squeal as well on my 09 C63. I talked to a technician here at the dealership where I work and he said the car has high performance brakes which need to be "stomped on" every now and again in order to eliminate the squeal

I had my 2009 C63 for 4 years and it never had an issue with squeaking brakes. I did keep in in the garage and kept it away from rain and snow. I just traded it in and ordered a Edition 507 and it comes with AMG high-performance braking system with compound rotors. I hope this will not be an issue.

I too have the same problem. My 2012 C63 squeals in two octaves! When softly braking from speed, a high pitched squeal is heard until I feather the brakes a little. Then just before the car stops, a short lower tone squeal is heard until fully stopped. The dealer says to stomp on them at higher speed to remove glazing, but this is temporary. Another short term remedy is to point a high pressure hose at the brakes.

C63 Amg 2014 squealing breaks

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this post still active but If it is I would appreciate if some one can tell me what was the end result of this problem? Was the breaks squealing problem ever fixed and how? I just picked up my 2014 c63 amg and it had only 30 km and first day driving I heard the breaks squealing .. I spoke with the dealer, the head technician told me that this problem will not go away even if he try to fix it and the sales reps tells me it will go away eventually .. can anyone please let me know what was the end result .. thanks a lot in advance ..

I am afraid there is no end result that works. The only reprieve is to spray a strong stream of water directly into the brake calipers. The squealing goes away for a while only. The other option is to stand on the brakes at high speed to clean off the glazing, but that too is only temporary.

I have now had my C63 AMG for a year.
I have tried many things - including most of the suggestions above.
Can get rid of the squeak for a while - but - it has always come back.
I now tend to leave braking at lights to the last few yards and brake much harder (than I normally would do - if rolling to a stop). About the only thing that works for me !!!!

Spraying water and stomping on the brakes are not solutions. There is some mention of trying to repair the brakes, but what is the repair. Generally, squeeking brakes are from hard pads. The AMG pads must be some type of ceramic material. Has anyone tried a high quality aftermarket pad?
