My first attempt at DIY. Going to replace C300 exhaust heat shield

I recently purchased a new MB and I am giving my '08 C300 4-matic to my niece since she gets her license next month. The other day she was practicing parallel parking and we heard an awful noise. I realized the drivers' side heat shield exhaust rusted thru a bolt and was not firmly attached. I ordered an OEM Heat Shield (part 204-682-81-71) with some OEM nuts/bolts/screws (because I am not sure how many screws are rusted thru besides the one I could see) to attach the heat shield, but I am not sure if I am going to be able to get the old heat shield off, or put the new one on without removing more parts. Wondering if anyone has replaced a heat shield before.
