Thinking about an AMG...

I am looking for a little advice.

My new bride was kind enough to total my 99 230SLK Sport the other day. The SLK had some modes, most notably an H&R cup kit.

Well enough lamenting, on to an new vehicle. I am thinking about moving into a 2005 C32 or C55. I live in Denver, CO and have also toyed with the idea of a BMW 330Xi or a Mercedes C240 4matic.

Dare I ask, but opinions please.

2002-2004 = C32
2005-2007 = C55 except they don't sell the 2007 in US.

read up on "intercooler pump", "glycol contamination", "transmission jerks", "supercharger clutch bearing", and other common W203 problems if you want to get a C32.

read up on "expensive mods for C55" and W203 common problems if you want to get the C55.

Both cars are RWD, I don't know how bad the weather is in winter but a s/c + rwd will leave you stranded in any accumulation of snow. I went with a 4matic over kompressor for reliability. Just something to keep in mind.

Oh and if you do decided ///amg ... make sure the wifey is careful.
