Timing Chain Replacement

2007 Mercedes Benz 2007 C230 Sport
( W203 with M272 E25 (2.5L V6 ))
I replaced
all camshaft position sensors
all camshaft adjuster magnets
with inclusion of new harnesses

The CEL assertions are now
P0011, P0014, P0015, P0022, P0025

Basically (over time and more drive sessions )
both camshaft A/B banks
with advanced/retarded timings will manifest.

Balance Shaft engine problem factory addressed:
engine serial number includes engineered fix

I believe I am looking at a timing chain replacement
( I hear there is a existing procedure ( ~$1500ish )
that weaves in the new chain elements without the extensive
( ie labor intensive) opening up of engine

Engine runs smooth with noted hesitation (lag) but once
engaged it acquires power band performance.
Slight rattle appears on startup only ( oil pump delivery window )
No further rattle as if from a timing chain tensioner problem.

I'm in SF Bay Area and looking for reference to a talented mechanic
that can perform the timing chain replacement.

Recommendations ( or any birddogging of mechanical knowhow
will be appreciated )

I really don't think this is a timing chain issue. These are all codes that indicate bad camshaft adjuster solenoids (magnets):



Where did you get the solenoids?

I had this done on my 2003 a couple of years ago around 80-85K miles.
In the NYC metro I paid about 1500 but that included the whole job with guides and a tensioner. The kits for sale including all the parts run between $177 (without Tensioner) and $300 (with tensioner) for good FEBI parts at FCP euro. I would not suggest the chain weave as the guides and tensioner are in my opinion a necessary part of the job.

I went though the exact same diagnostic process but I do not recall my codes, and unfortunately the magnets and other parts that came off my car were probably good. The techs I use when I can't handle something followed the same logic as you did.

My symptoms we a sudden change in idle one day and then bumpy idle and poor drivability unless I applied full throttle. even at full the car was about 70%. The tech told me that my chain had jumped and that my timing was off by about 10 degrees, but I have no way of verifying this. I can tell you that the chain removed was noticeably longer than the new one.
I saved all the magnets and the cam sensors for future us as I believe them to be good. I used original MB parts for the magnets because the cost difference was not that big.

RM European and Pierburg parts should be good. Look at the diagram and swap two solenoids - on with an error, on without. Erase codes, and then see what returns. If the error stays with he solenoid, then you have the answer. If not, then another thing to try is a couple of oil changes (you can use a cheap oil) combined with a few hours of HARD driving and revving. The adjusters are operated hydraulically with engine oil and I have seen dirty oil cause this.
