Perpetual Front Brake shudder

Over the past two years, I have replaced the front rotors on my car 3 times, twice under warranty fortunately, due to continual and increasing shudder. Finally after a few YouTube viewings I said F*&k it, I can do this myself. Testing myself on the rears first, I had no issues, so I went all in and replaced the fronts, pads and all.

Damned happy I did, and pissed off as well. Turned out someone didn't put the locator screws back on the front rotors. I'm 99.9% certain that this was the cause of the shudder, two 60c screws (which the Stealership charged me $8.00each for).

Anyway it was a simple and very successful operation.

Good job ,,,Nice looking brakes ,,are they RDA ?

It's amazing how bad some supposed 'professionals' are at their job..
Always better to DIY.

Hi Mate,

Thank-you. Could not believe how easy these were to do.

I've started doing my own servicing too. Couldn't believe the shitty oil filter I found in my Car after another supposed "quality" service the last guy did.

Replaced the Air Filter with a K & N Highflow Life Time one Amazing buy through Sparesbox. A slight improvement in Fuel Economy on a long run with Cruise set at 110km/hr.

Of course the money I saved I had to spend on a new Window Regulator that failed two week later (argghhh).

These brakes were from V-Max in Melbourne https://www.vmaxbrakes.com.au/ Highly recommend for Service and quality.

Hope your 203 is still serving you well and that you are in good health.

Kind Regards

Hutcho
