A/C Compressor Not Running

I went to charge after a leak repair. I bought the 2004 C230K early this winter and couldn't tell if the AC was working. the compressor doesn't appear to be running. The front.of the pulley is not turning. When i look at my 2003 C230K the front of the compressor spins whether the AC button is on or off. I searched for several hours today and could not find a flow chart of what to check. Fuse 41*& 51 are good.

The fans do come on in high speed. i checked codes with a basic MAC scanner and none were present. I don't know if a better scanner can see codes in other modules that this may not. any thoughts?

W203 AC compressor has a clutchless pulley. That means the center of the pulley must always be spinning whether the AC is on or off. If the center of the pulley is not spinning that means the compressor has seized and decoupled itself from the pulley. The AC compressor, cendenser and dryer must be replaced and the remaining lines must be flushed.

TJ is right.. Your probably looking at a total AC re-build.. The only thing he left out was the expansion valve.. You'll need to replace that too..

PS.. TJ put me on to a w202 old style clutch compressor that bolted right up to my 2003 C320 when I had to rebuild my AC system.. The only thing I had too add was a relay mod. for the compressor, and I couldn't be happier with the clutch compressor over the "new" style swatch plate compressor.. It's been a couple years now and it's all thumbs up on the clutch style compressor.. Parts cost on my rebuild.. under $400..
