Panoramic roof shade

I've been reading through the threads on the c230 coupe panoramic roof problems, but I haven't come across any that describe my particular issue.

1.) My roller blind has somehow detached from its support track or chain that moves it back and forth. That track/chain still works and will push the blind open but it will not pull it closed again. I've made a short video of the problem to better illustrate.

2.) My rear roller blind guides (called a clutch) that slide in the track have broken. So the roller won't move also. Now I'm stuck with front and back open. Any know if this can be repaired without taking down the headliner?

Appreciate any help.

Think I had this problem... Solution was to not open up the shade completely. My sunroof did not open so that was not a problem.

shade track

Hi, i think i may have a similar problem. Just wondering if you resolved yours? One of the plastic bits that holds the rear shade in the track broke, so the one side sags. I pulled the shade out of the other sides plastic bit that isnt broken to see how i could replace it. Did you have to replace these pieces?
Did you have to remove the headlining to replace these?

I just ordered the right side part (clutch) and will have it in a day or two. Already had the left side when I noticed that right was worn. However, I'm still waiting on the front cable and clutch (called a pull in EPC). Yeah the headliner needs to come down for this I believe, so I'm waiting to do the front and back in one job. However, for just the back you may be able to lower only half if you're careful. There goes a full saturday for me.

c230 coupe sunshade

The forward portion of the motorized sunshade has dislodged from the motorized clip part on the right side (as you're sitting in the car, looking up)....the left side is still attached. When you attempt to open/close the shade, the right hand clip that rides along the track goes forward/back fine. I can't figure out how to re-attach the clip to the forward edge of the sunshade...the clip looks fine too, hasn't broken. How do those clips attach to the front of the shade? Thanks!

Part Numbers/Instructions

Sorry to bring back an old thread.... this seems to be the only thread on this that I could find. I have the same problem on my R320. Did you end up pulling the headliner down? Do you know the part numbers for the clips?
