Car not blowing any air, let a lone any cold air

Good afternoon

So I have a 2000 C280 that I bought used around January and there was barely 100,000 miles in it.

Love the car, but now that summer is approaching here in Texas I really want to fix the AC on the car. Whenever I turn on the ac unit there is not air coming out of the vents, only when I drive but even then, there isn't that much.

I replaced the air filter, thinking that maybe air wasn't getting thru since it was very very dirty but that didn't really improve anything.

Could it be the A/C blower unit that's near the filter? Like I mentioned before, there is not air coming out what so ever and also when i tried turning on the heater while it was cold here a few months ago, no hot was coming out as well!

I feel like replacing the blower motor might be a good start, what do y'all recommend?

See if the blower motor runs when 12v is directly applied, if it does check the blower motor resistor next.

From your general comments, sounds like the blower is kaput.

Access to the blower motor is relatively easy to access (from the PS footwell) and cheap to replace.
Plenty of DIY videos.

After testing if the blower runs, I would also check your R134a levels too.

I have found in the past that a dirty air filter can affect the cooling of the resistor, and cause it to go bad. Test that first; the fan motor itself may be fine.
