Next on the list are the motor and transmission mounts on the '95. I've replaced the mounts on my '99 C280 and was wondering how much difference there is in on I6 mounts r&r. It looks to be a bit easier than the V6. Any tips, suggestions, posted DIY's or WIS instructions I can use? Thanks!

I have done them on my 2000 C280 and they were relatively easy.

I have also done them on 1991 300CE . This is W124 chassis, but pretty similar m104.98 engine.

Passenger side is pretty easy but the driver's side may be rough. Trouble is the access to driver side mount top bolt. I managed to do it with a string of extensions and a flex socket dropped inbetween the intake manifold. There is a lot of linkage in this area so be careful. You might use a helper that dangles the extension while someone underneath seats the socket on the bolt.

Hi Oldirty88 and glenmore,
When you replaced the mm on your 99 c280 and 2000 C280 respectively, did you do all the work from the bottom and what tools did you use to unbolt the top bolt of the mounts?
Will greatly appreciate any tips you can please share. Please see my post at -
Thanks and a terrific weekend!
