W124 parts compatibility for W201

Does anyone now if an exhaust system from the same year W124 would be compatible with the same fuel type W201?

You could maybe use the can if you wanted to cut it out and weld it in, but the length, routing, and hanger locations are all different if you want to install it as is.

Proceed with caution. >>>

As PN187 pointed out, you maybe able to make it somewhat work by cutting/bending/stretching/etc. but remember that even the same model year 201 with M102 vs M103 engine exhausts are different.

Heck in my opinion some aftermarket exhaust parts meant for the same year is not a prefect fit because of the tight tolerances to the body/axle parts/etc.

The front part fits.
The middle part is on the opposite side.
You can use it if you cut and weld it "upside-down".
Been there done that.
