AFTER DIFF CHANGE, ASD ON, HELP!!

Today I installed and changed a failing 190 2.5-16V DIFF w/original ratio 3.04 with ASD into a ratio 3.27 DIFF. It is a great success and nice swap, but.... when test drive, the ASD triangle warning light is on.

My tire size is all the same and I did move the original ABS teeth into the donor main shaft in the new 3.27 DIFF. There should be not speed difference, front and rear, in this setup. I guess.

Should I install the teeth ring in the proper and correct position relevant to the front wheel speed sensors? and how??!!

Is there any experienced expert who can direct me the possible way to solve this problem....

Any guidance and suggestions will really appreciated.

couple of questions...

1. Why did you replace the DIFF? Was it just the Center Section that was replaced?
2. Was the yellow triangle on before you did the Diff Swap
3. How does your SLS suspension function is it normal? does the right height compensate based on load?
4. Did you flush/replace ALL of the SLS fluid with Mercedes SLS fluid. CH11S will not work

1. Mine was bad causing great noise all the time....the replacement was an almost internal swap, except the L/R sided flanges and ASD pistons.

2. not...never.

3. SLS functions well, and this R/R didn't involve with SLS.

4. I use and stick to the MB fluid as specified on the ASD tank.

things you should try...

1. Look into Bleeding the ASD system which is tied into the SLS. One pump, One Fluid tank which delivers to the ASD valve then out to the SLS valve for suspension.

2. The ASD ECU has a set fault code, you will need to read the code which will help determine the cause if your problem. Then a reset is required...

3. last thing is to make sure that the ABS sensor ring on the Diff is spaced correctly and that the ABS sensor is seeing the square tooth not just the tip.

1.been there and done, by bridging ASD Pins 8 and 10.

2. DTC Diag gives me a "2" flashes, indicating that the malfunction is "N30/2" ASD module itself...but I doubt.

3. Will try to test ABS sensor L6 on the DIFF, with IG ON, and check Pins 1 and 8 to see if there has Voltage >3V while rotating rear wheel.
