A-Class availability and pricing in Canada

Any word on when the A-Class hot hatch is going to land in Canada? Rumours suggest it will come in well under $40k??

The dealer told me October/November and price under the CLA.

If I have the B-class now. Will getting the A-class considered a downgrade?

I personally don't think so. B class is going away in Canada. B class is roomier but less dynamic as the A Class (at least it seems so...). B class is designed for a practical use. The new A class is designed for a dynamic driving, agility and fun driving experience. It will have a more powerful 4L engine than the B class. So I personally believe that it is another segment, not a downgrade...

I see a lot of GLA's and CLA's so I believe that the A class 4 door hatchback will be a success.

No manual = no sale, for me at least. The Mercedes of today are nothing special and certainly of average reliability. My 2008 B 200 5 speed (bought new) just snapped a driveshaft clean in two. Waiting two weeks for a replacement....

The looks of the new A hatch are bland/dull/uninspired, a.k.a.boring. The B 200 is homely, but not as bland as the photos of the new A I have seen.

4 L engine? No!
