Getting into a 166

All,

Looking at getting into a 166. Are the early cars a mess like the 164's were? Any years I should avoid? I have a 163 now and was going to look at 164's but I figure I might as well go up the 166!!!

Thanks for any input.

Mine is a December 12 build and has been very good. So itís heading for 7 years old. Itís had rear shocks and rotors all round. Generally itís been great and wouldnít change a thing on it. Love it.

And I've had my February 2015 build for 3 months now and took it on one big road trip, 2036 miles total. I've put a fair amount of money into routine maintenance items, but they're all longer-interval stuff, and I won't have to do that again for a while. Brakes are up next, but at 60K, they're due.

I'm quite pleased with mine, and plan to keep it for a good long time.
mattml430 and JoeRJGR like this.

"Engineered like no other car in the world." That's both a bug and a feature.

Mine is a 2015. Last year of the ML. I would look into one of those. Gas engine. N/A Engine. Proven powertrain. No airmatic. Had it for over a year and it has been great. Did the oil change and brake pads. Check engine light came on once from me not tightening the gas gap. Ooops.
