2014 ML350 Engine Number Location

I am considering doing the timing chain tensioner oil check valve installations and need to locate the engine number on my ML350.
Where is it located? It sure isn't obvious.
Thanks for any help,

Alex

Believe it is on top of right motor mount bracket. You likely will have a very hard time seeing it, it's right above the right half shaft and the motor mount itself is blocking it, along with the starter.

EPC and vin decoder might give you the serial number. I have a spare M276 engine in my shop, I can look at it tomorrow.

Glad it gave you the info! it is pretty cool and in a way scary that that much info on you car can be found just with a vin number.
