Comand unit/ cd changer

I have a 2009 ml350. The 6cd changer is built into the comand. My cd changer is not working. The cds that are currently in there wonít come out. I hear the motor working but it doesnít eject or play. Does anyone know a reliable place that can repair it?

Hold down the eject button for 10 secs.. Then remove fuse 25 in the Load Comp. Fuse box and then press eject button again.

I will give that a try but earlier I went back in the car and cd 2 started playing and I was able to eject it, but now cd1 (I only have 2 cds in the changer) shows no cd in the first slot, but I know for sure there is a cd in there.

Many thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated.

Will try the procedure tomorrow and advise results.

I tried the procedure and still didnít work for me. I believe I have to replace or repair the cd changer. Does anyone know if they sell a repair kit for these units? Or if the cd mechanism is interchangeable?

I tried the 'reset' procedure, but it didn't work for me, either.

The CD player doesn't play and the five CDs that are in the unit will not eject. The motor runs every time that I start the vehicle, so my main concern is that it may burn itself out.

It's not a big problem because I also have an iPod connection which I use as an alternative.

If you make any progress with your situation, I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

I took my command out and saw that you can replace the cd changer off the command unit. Itís part DZ63G160.
But I couldnít find one at a reasonable price.
I was looking to replace it or find a way to repair the one I have.

There are also many companies that offer a rebuild service for the command units as well.
