Kicktronic tailgate assist

I have now finished the complete liftgate retrofit from scratch and it was a success.

I just followed the instruction as per WIS " how to remove and install hydraulic tailgate pump"

It was not easy , a lot of parts to replace and install, the worst time consuming was to remove the roof lining to install the ram and Hydraulic lines.

Carried out coding and normalizing, and was surprised it worked at first time.

I love it now and specially my wife as she is just over 4" and she does n have to jump to close the tailgate.

Here is a short clip, hope you enjoy it,

vincenzo,

Very nice. I like the delay from a foot activation that allows you to walk away so the lid doesn't hit you.

Was this a kit? You mention that the WIS had instructions.

Yes WIS has instruction how to remove and install hydraulic pump only, the kick option is a custom kit that I made. It consist of an interface, a kick switch under the bumper and a sensor in the trunk to feedback door position signal to interface.

Do you happen to still have the instructions on how to remove and install hydraulic pump for the trunk? My pump has failed and would like to replace myself if possible.

Thanks in advance.

She must be in the Guiness Book of Records.
