Replacement catalytic converters for the ML. Any recommendations?

P/O of my car replaced the front cats in 2015 with some cheap units from who knows where and then did a rear cat/muffler delete at the same time. However, in driving this car daily since December I've noticed a nasty exhaust smell and it goes to rotten eggs when doing WOT. Plus performance seems down so these cats may be toast.

Anyone here have good luck with a particular brand of cats?

I'm going through a similar situation with my OEM cats at the moment. About to swap out the front OEM cats with a set of "Walker" replacements tomorrow.

Walker Cats is definitely not my first choice, but I live in CA, and this is one of the VERY few legal replacements (besides OEM) that are available. Will report back after its done with the results. I have done lots of research and there is not much info available on this particular issue, especially when it comes to the ML55!

Oh yes! Sorry about that. Walker cats are now installed, amazingly my primary cats were empty somehow? the "biscuit" inside of them seemed to have disintegrated at some point. After the install, the vehicle has around 20-30% more power (noticeable) and the mileage is better than it has been in at least a year or two. So far, so good.
