Can someone help program keys please?

G'day all, I have tried repeatedly to program my keys but they don't hold the info. I have one by one held the lock and pressed the unlock/boot simultaneously for five seconds bla bla bla and when tested immediately they all work fine...but that's it! Memory lost, won't work again. Repeat the process, test,it worked then nope doesn't work anymore. Can anyone help me, am I doing something wrong, is there a different way?

User cp doesn't have any option to update anything more thanks. I'm not sure why you would say that, I drive a 2000 ml320 (w163) if that's what you're referring to?

I am assuming you are using a phone. Look at the stickies. There is a thread which will tell you how to update your profile with a phone.

Same thing happened to me. I bought my '01 not long ago. I replaced the batteries in the remote, then had to reprogram it. It worked for the first button press and that's it. I phoned my local dealer and the said the remotes bad when that happens and I'd need a new one.

Well, ain't that something. When I created my profile, I know I filled all that info in. All my web surfing is from my phone, so I didn't even know it wasn't showing. Thank you.

When this happens, it means your AAM is faulty. You can replace it with a working used one, then it needs some high-level programming to get all the keys working.

One with a matching part number will work best. Later versions may be backwards-compatible, but earlier versions won't work.

This is good to know, I think the stealer may have been hoping I'd buy a new remote
