Brake squeak, Brake dust

If you don't like brake squealing or brake dust then use Raybestos Quiet Stop pads on your Mercedes.

I have been using them for many years on all my cars with great results. I keep seing posts about brake pad problems.

If everyone used the pads I recomend then we will start seing how happy people are with their brakes.

They are not cheap, they cost me more than OE pads but I don't care, I am happy with them and the way they stop the vehicle. They are usually special order @ Pep Boys, but well worth the wait...

I have used QS on my bmw before. They are dustless at first then at half life they will dust like normal pads. So QS you use stayed dustless its entire duty cycle?

They have far less dust than OE pads for the life of the pad. I wash my vehicles once a week and usually the wheels still look good. I drive 60 miles a day in stop and go freeway traffic so my brakes get used a lot...

Try using cilajet to cut down on the dust

By putting cilajet on my wheels the brake dust doesn't accumulate....they only have a light film of dust....nothing sticks to cilajet

I don't need to put anything on my wheels with the Raybestos Quiet Stop brakes. The dust in minimal. I don't even notice it between washings...

brakes

I put some fancy rotors front and rear that were brembo cross drilled and slotted, and put ceramic pads, but theyve been squealing like a baby rabbit since i put em on. only at low speeds and only the first 5 min of driving. once ive warmed the brakes up they only make a pleasant "zzzzz" (the drilled rotors). ive tried everything from the spray-on squeal stuff (u apply to the back of the brake pads) and brake part scrubber cleaners - nothing seems to work. its just a little annoyance.. but oh well.

not on the back of the brake pads but on the sides. TSB shows this. They apply the anti squeal paste on the edge of the right and left side of the pads, not the back side like you would do a regular brake pad.
