RE: Is your other car a BMW too?

1 ML 430
1 190D
1 S500
1 260E(Love it for daily driving)
1 Volvo 760 Turbo
1 Volvo 780 Bertone
1 Bronco(for Winter)
1 F150(for towing)
1 VW Cabrio(The Wife's)
1 Suzuki XL7(The Wifes Winter vehicle)

The Volvos are the only cars that I have owned that can exceed 300-400k, and still run like new. Its funny that you made this thread, because I was thinking of a similar thread about differnet cars, how the new C Class was a horrible car to drive. I had my cousins new C Class Kompressor Sunday and it was horrible....It cant compare to the 3 series BMW's[|)]

'03 530. Bought both cars new and the 530 was around same price, but came with more options than the ML AND free maintenance including brakes. 3 years later, the ML is pretty much worth nothing, but the 5 still has a good resale value. Every time I drive the 5, It hurts to see how much better of a car the bimmer is. I know there are few other 5er owners in here. Which do you perfer?

Yeah if you really enjoy driving(and I do), the BMW's are the way to go. Each BMW that I owned made me want to go faster on any road that I was driving vs the Mercedes that says only on straight roads please[8)] My 7 series even handled better than my Eclass MB's. I really liked all my Beamers outside the fact that they always had lights on my with some notification on the dashboard, and I went through a timing belt that caused an engine rebuild at 52k.

Is that a good thing?

Actually, they don't start off driving like new, they start off driving like old!

Reminds me of a story about my cousin, he looked 40 at 30, so when he gets to 40 he doesn't look so old anymore...

Yep - I have a BMW, had a Volvo too. They aren't that bad, only joking...
