Yes I changed mine but if you are not michanically inclined I wouldn't advise you to do it on your own, if you search this forum you will find every thing you need to do the job, let me tell you this forum is a blessing I saved up to $15,000 because of this forum ,THANH YOU,THANK YOU . If you cant find it on this forum go to YOUTUBE you will find it there .

Sorry 43 just getting back to you, I jacked the front up rear wheel still on ground and I had to remove the front differential and axle .

I noticed this same problem this morning on my 2001 C230 W203 chassis. The Torx fitting on the steering rack is easily accessible from the front under the engine after you remove the plastic engine cover underneath held on by 6 8mm bolts, and you don't need to jack the car up.

The fitting is a Torx E18, but you won't be able to fit the socket in there while it is connected to a socket wrench because the front stabilizer bar gets in the way, so instead you can slip the closed end of a 9/16 wrench around it and tighten it by hand.

You can see from the photo that prior to tightening it was dripping about once every 2 seconds, so it was a really bad leak. As soon as I tightened the bolt, the leak stopped. I topped off the fluid and have driven it about 100 miles and it isn't leaking anymore.
