Good day all,

It has been 7 months since my 140 was t-boned. I am still searching for a replacement. Refuse to give up! ...Once you’ve been in a collision with a 140 you will not want anything else!

As stated looking for a 500 or 600 95+. High mileage is of no concern. Full leather package is a priority, but willing to install my old interior, if the right 140 is sourced.

I need all eyes and ears on deck!
Please PM any leads you guys find. Willing to travel.

Thank you all and long live the 140!

Kevin P.

Have you set up a search in Autotrader.com? One can set distance, year, and model. Don't know if they cover Canada but you could search in neighboring States. I found my great '97 CL600 there. In fact there were 3 of them within a 300 mile radius. There was a late model 140 at a repair shop for sale here locally for under a thousand dollars. Don't know the condition or circumstances but the car was in the Palm Springs, CA area. If you are interested, I can find the name and number of the shop and send it to you.

Wow! 3 within 300 miles. Cant beat that. Yes, I have been searching auto trader Canada daily. In my daily search I include my local craigslist, Kajiji (like CL) and Hemmings. Good idea for me to be checking neighbouring USA states as well!

A lead is a lead! If it is not too tricky to come up with the contact info please send.

Thank you!

Slim pickings at the moment. I see three (2 in WA and 1 in OR):

https://www.autotempest.com/results?...domesticonly=0

I don't know if autotempest covers Canada, though. I can't seem to get any results there when I uncheck "US results only" in the advanced search. But that's probably because S500 and S600 cars are getting older and less plentiful? Keep your chin up any maybe widen the search up to add another model or two in the W140 stable?

Edit: Arg. The three above are W220 cars. Forgot the W140 only went up to 1999 for the S500. Oh well. Maybe consider a decent W220 if you come across one as well?

Been there! My first S500 hit a minivan broadside at an angle. It did a 360 degree roll. Driver was OK. My car was driven onto the flat bed truck. Insurance totaled it.

Based on my lack of injury and for the same reasons you mention, I bought another S500 Grand Edition and then replace it with my current S600. I looked for a year and a half. That was five years ago and yes the W140 is getting more rare.

Here's one. $7500 with 200K Miles in Atlanta. Even has a working cupholder! Looks in good shape, but get a PPI. Not sure about the wheels.

KEV, What ever you do ,DON'T buy W220 . Don't even look at them . Horrendous stories about the owners that have them here , they didn't do there Homework before purchasing those Lemons .
But then i know you like the W140 only so you're safe ,lol.

Just one of many.
