W140 1992 s320 looking for user manual and undercarraige overhaul advise

Dear All

I am looking for My w140 S320 user manual. I am looking forwars for advice to overhaul my undercarraige as from where I can find the right bushings front and rear. Which brand is good. I am in Malaysia.

For bushings, use Lemforder, when you can find them, or factory. Some people are ok with Meyle also. Avoid Uro, and in most cases, Febi-Bilstein, or other off brands. There are instructions in the Do it Yourself section of the stickies. You will need special tools for many of the bushings.

For suspension arms where bushings aren't replaceable, Lemforder or TRW or factory. For sway bar links and bushings, any of the major brands are ok.

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am much clear now on what I have to do. I have one more question. Is it wise to use 18 inch rims or should I stay with the factory specification.

The factory used 18" wheels on certain models. There is a whole thread on wheel/tire combos. A key thing to watch is wheel offset. People report anything over 18", and ride suffers considerably.

For me i have installed 18 inch and put on new tyres but on bumpy road i can hear bad sounds like my whole car is shaken. I will attach some pics.

The previous person installed run flat on these rims which i got them removed and bought new tyres. Now i have bought new ones and the running is very smooth and sift but on bumps and bad roads i cab hear the sounds
