Can you please name manufacturer is it still exist or no longer available. Thanks in advance for your answers

Both you mentioned above are non woven artificial types of chamois (deerskin or wash skin) and have nothing in common with real leather. First one Amaretta is a trade mark of Japanese Kururay Co., Ltd. and second one Alcantara SpA. Dunno about Amaretta, but Alcantara price is around 95-110$ for 11 sq ft.

I'm not sure if that's right. Amaretta was used, I believe, on the W220 and W211 and other cars of that era. The W140 used a different quality of leather. Not including the premium Nappa used on the post-facelift 600 cars, of course.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. The leather grain and colors used on the W140 are notoriously hard to match, but some places do stock the right stuff.

Alcantara is basically faux-suede, and not used on the W140 at all.

I'm almost positive that Elsen+Hemmer is the manufacturer and not the reseller.

Doubt it, because they have UK made wool carpets and all sorts of imported vinil upholstery.

Amaretta and Alcantara are both trade names for ultrasuede fabrics made with microfiber. My S600 coupe has one or the other on the headliner and pillar trim. They seem to be all the rage as though they are something really special. The foam backing on mine disintegrated, just like every other headliner exposed to high interior temps. I'm replacing it with generic foam backed ultrasuede made for headliners. Virtually identical in appearance and feel. The pillar trim is not foam backed, and I was able to get matching unbacked ultrasuede.

Age old marketing gimmick of taking something common or out of fashion, renaming it, making it seem exclusive, and charging through the nose for it.
