PSE pump missing a vac hose?

Im trying to rebuild my PSE pump with a new motor and on my pump there is an open port that doesnt have a line in it. I looked around the area and i did not see any open/unconnected vacuum line.

This got me puzzled and im trying to figure out what is going on. Can someone explain what line goes into the circled port?

Hi,

I think you'll have to look at the marking of that outlet.
If its marked with "P+" is should be pressure for the lumbar support (if you have it).

Have a look here;
https://www.benzworld.org/forums/w140...g-diagram.html

The colors does not seem to match your pump, but the 6 outlets seems to be the same.

Hello!

Can you tell me what colors hose that is on the wrong port? Im looking at that PSE diagram and its not helping me out. I don't know how to read that.

I am just seeing if someone out there can look and see if i even put the right hoses onto the correct port + the missing clear line?

No, I still think you'll have to tell us the marking on the PSE pump. If its
the same as this, its P+ that you do not have a hose on, and if you do not have lumbar support, thats normal.

Please have a look here, then;
STAR TekInfo
and for the different component, here;
http://manual.startekinfo.com/manual/JSP/model140.jsp

But, let me reason;

Yellow, connected to the ZV on the far right, is for central locking, and is then divided into 6 (4 doors, tank flap and trunk lock); OK
Black, connected to the SFG 2nd from left, is for the retractable trunk grip; OK
White, connected to the FKS far left, is for rear head restrain retraction; OK
Grey, connected to P- upper left (P-, which is for giving vacuum to the heater Rest function (AC flaps operating without engine on)); I think, if you have lumbar support, should be on the missing connector (P+), while the hose on P- should be clear plastic.

http://manual.startekinfo.com/manual...SE-MVA/m12.jsp

Can you check the functioning of Rest without the engine on?

Since the P+ has been without a connection, it will probably have to be reactivated in Star;

Thank you for the reply!

Yes i believe its the (p+) is the one that doesn't have any connection into it. I put the labels on the PSE to remind me which line goes where when i take it off.

The car does have Lumbar support. I've look all around the general area of the PSE pump and i don't recall seeing a 5th line.

I found this picture below to give me an idea of what color i am missing.

Just comparing pictures of the one above with my pump the white (dual?) lines on the lower left i think those are the one that im missing!?

BTW i dont have mercedes star

Good, nice find.

Yes, then you'll move the greys to the P+ line, and connect the one you currently
have lower left to the upper left. Its a bit difficult to discriminate the white and clear,
but I think yours is actually clear.

The dual white you see in the image you found, are connected to the head rest restraint retraction. If you have electric up and down rear head rests, you do not need this (and
thus do not have the double white lines either).

BTW;
Since you did connect the clear line to an outlet, you have, as you mention in another post about AC, restored
the functioning of the AC/heater flaps, since it then does not leak vacuum generated from the intake
out that clear line. But by having it connected to the the wrong outlet, the Rest function will not be able to
operate the flaps for a extended period of time (some vacuum will be left after engine shutdown).

Even better overview of the consumers of the < 1998 pump;
