Good W140 Mechanic near Rahway, NJ?

I'm looking at a 1999 w140 near Rahway, NJ and am trying to locate a trusted MB mechanic with good knowledge of the W140 to complete a pre-purchase inspection.

I've found a few off of Yelp/Google that look okay, but wanted to see if anyone on here has a mechanic in that area that they personally use and trust.

Personal recommendations usually trump online reviews in situations like this so I'm hoping you guys will have some suggestions for me.

Thanks in advance,
R

Hey NYC 140, I know a good Mercedes mechanic, I don't own a W140 but I know he works on all Mercedes. He is in Staten Island, I think his shop is called Autex, it's on Travis Avenue off West Shore Expressway right before Victory Blvd, across from little league baseball fields. There are two owners an Albanian & an Italian guy. They're not cheap, but they won't screw you either, and they always use original parts. I know sometimes mechanics make money on parts too, but these guys don't care if you bring the parts to them or if they order them from dealer directly, they just won't make repairs with aftermarket parts.
I normally do my own work on my cars, but I have gone to them over the years for blower motor replacement, harness etc.
I used to go to them to look at cars, but now I think I know enough to buy them on my own. If I remember correctly he wants you to make an appointment for him to spend time looking at your car though.

Good luck!

Come to think of it, if you want to stay local near Rahway, there is a Portugese guy (Euro Motors) on South Avenue in Garwood, across from Pathmark. If you're driving on South Avenue, from Cranford to Westfield, it's on your left hand side, across from Pathmark. I have never been to him, but I know he has been there for a long time.

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check them out!
