Hi Folks
When I remove the fuel filler cap its hard to do so due to a build up of vacuum,( this car has cut out in the past twice and the MB mechanic put this down to the EHA) this is a UK spec car 220KW with no emission controls. Is this normal because I once had a UK spec Rover SD1 (no emission controls)and the car would cut out from fuel starvation and had the same vacuum problem.
When I went through the previous owners paperwork I found they had replaced the fuel filler cap with one from an emission car(totally sealed). So I drilled a tiny pin hole in the cap and never had a problem. All advise gratefully received.
Best Wishes Dan Gardner
