I will throw some counter-opinion out there. Learning HOW to do it is the challenge in my mind. What tools? What parts? The lessons can be learned the first time around. Once you know how to do it. Itís always easier the second time around, the confidence, etc. That actually makes me not mind doing things more than once. Do you use long life synthetic oil to avoid oil changes? Or do you enjoy going back and doing the job quickly? Me? Iím fine changing the brake pads on my wifeís car and getting faster at it. Iím not worried if the brake pads last forever.
But if you are doing a top shelf restoration on your car, then yeah, nice new MB rubber feels good.
