Help Identify part please

This is a pic from under my 89 560sec, we are looking for identity of the plastic part in center with black cap on top which has a wire running into it. It is under the oil pan and is NOT the oil pressure sending unit that makes your needle dance when faulty

Part number would be awesome also if possible

Thank you, do you know if a oil drain and pan drop is required for installation or just plug and play?

Well if you remove the oil pan you should replace the rubber foot on the oil pump. They get brittle and pieces fall off. They don’t cost much either. Lower oil pan gaskets are rather expensive for what they are. I think MB is around $20.00. I am replacing my sensor so that is how I know. Sensor is about $60.00
