Rear License Plate Frame Details

I searched a bit on the forum (using google) but i cannot seem to find the same license plate bracket that my car has.

Does anyone know if this is an OE item and where i can source one? This one isn't is horrible shape but it isn't in great shape either. Hopefully this isn't an unobtainium like the JDM Parking pole thing.

Doesn't look like a normal US rear plate holder. Maybe something special to euro GenII cars? Or as you mentioned something aftermarket. Appears to be in good enough shape to sand and refresh the paint.

That rear plate holder/frame is very unusual to these eyes, at any rate..

Those parking poles you refer to, I've seen more than a handful of times during my time on BW.
This the first time I have seen one like yours.
My '91 Home market car came with the more common plate bracket most of us have.

Just now, from curiosity, I searched a bit and found this 'similar' item.

$20 delivered.

Never seen one of those. It's not a European item.

Interesting. The car is from Japan so maybe a JDM aftermarket item. From what i can tell it is stainless steel, based on the rusty screw that was in it but not a speck of rust other than some on the embedded nuts.

I guess i'll buff it up and keep it on there. Now i just need to figure out what this sticker i found on the visor means.

Thank you all for the help and input!

Thank you! I figured someone here would know.

Now how about this wind deflector thing, is this a normal MB option? I was going to leave it off of the car but thanks to 29 years of wearing it the paint under it shows that something belongs there. So it will have to stay... until i get it resprayed

That's gonna be noisy at speed surely. Not seen one like that on a 126 before.
