Hey vdub,

Its great to hear you're going forward again.

I think they gave you really good advice regarding the rear bumper cover & spoiler.. then do the final touches to the exhaust.

No coating, bare metal like it came out from the factory. I used Simple Green from Lowes prepared as it says on the bottle and brushes. Let it soak for at least an hour.

I think your going to love the difference in power. Would like to hear your impressions/ comparisons logs versus triís.
I love driving my 91 even more since I did the swap. I left the cats out, the emissions from the tail pipes are a bit smelly but fine with windows up. Enjoy 😊

Here we go....maybe ill get an outstanding contributor badge or make this a sticky for do's and donts

Muffler shop down dumpers on the car for now like Kims but we will change those after the rear valence goes on

So the system is not too loud at all, but with WOT has a nice rumble.

Butt dyno....not sure i notice much...except $3000 bucks out of my wallet....

my SEL with euro logs is very responsive and moves, and i think this SEC with tri y and duals also is very similar

enjoy

Nice work and now enjoy the final result -nice rumble by the sound of the short vid
It takes a little while for the pipes to settle down with a bit of carbon build up and they will actually improve in sound
As to driving experience get some constant highway cruising under your belt and see how the trans shifts/responds now at 50-60mph range when you ease on the peddle
Hopefully you will notice it kick back very willingly compared to before and more responsive overall as you move through traffic and off the lights

Thanks Kim. Always appreciate your kind words and expertise with these cars.

Yeah I am going to take it in a long higher drive today and report back... Curious to see if there is much drone.

My sel has a touch with it's system previously shown. But I've gotten used to it.

This system does smell when I come to standstill....oh so nice.... I hope the Tesla drivers next to me see what they are missing

I was still 50/50 on whether I should use that middle muffler or not... Heard to know how much louder it works have been with it.... And if it works drone or have been tolerable..

Nice sound, you're going to attract more looks on the street. Glad to hear you're back on the street. How much of a performance increase do you see from the Euro logs (I think you said at some point that you had Euro logs from the factory)?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the tri-ys and downpipes cost together when you bought them (excluding shipping)?

Puhh....finally done! Congrats

The 86-87 117.965 gen2 9:1 motor had factory tri-y's and was rated at 242hp, vs the 240hp rating for gen1 euros (with logs).

Max gains with tri-y's are realized with the 5.6 liter.
