As others who have seen my posts know, I am partial to whitewalls, hey I'm a 60's guy and its my car so I do what I want. It has 15" wheels and "new look" rims. Got the idea when I saw a friend's 500sel with whitewalls and thought they were neat. His car was the a bit lighter blue than yours. You might want to photoshop it too. Or click on my avatar and get a slightly larger version in front of my favorite pub. fortunately, the car knows the way home.
Thanks! White wheel centers is what I'm after, not white walls.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, what's so bad about the wheels? That's the reason I started the thread.

Oh, sorry. Its all about personal preference, isn't it? My cousin wears a bow tie with a patterned dress shirt and a dinner jacket. They still let him in the Harvard Club in NYC though don't they?

No need to apologize, I would not post on an open forum asking for opinions if I wasn't ready for personal preferences. I'd still like to know what your opinion is about the wheels, as your initial post was not very clear. Is it the design, the color, or something else?

Well, at best, the white connotes the aftermarket fake AMG trim for some reason. And, I didn't like the AMG trim at all - none of it. I'm a sort of Bruno fan and if Bruno didn't see it it shouldn't be seen. Finally, that the new pair of fancy shoes is a ghetto symbol. I remember a guy in my lower class neighborhood bringing his new pair of shoes to school in a box. Its like that to me. "This rig may be falling apart, but look at this cool set of wheels I put on there." Hence, new but stock rims on my cars.

Cool, your opinion. That is what I asked for. Thanks.

Thank you! I will post an update with the progress on it and some additional pics once I get it back from the shop. I did start a thread when I got it back in December:

Haha, the reactions I usually get are quite the opposite - a 560 with "cloth interior"??? I personally like it and with the proper care it will be long lasting.

Very long lasting, that velour is very high quality stuff with high wool content. It just needs to be really clean to look as it should. Its a really lovely car isnt it.
