Old parts are a tale of miles traveled.

Wow those are some dark guides. Didn't think it could go that dark without failing.

Congrats @Tbilisi79 , having those guides and chain done is a huge breath of relief and insurance, the price you paid for the work is fair as well. Tackling this job at the home requires a good level of mechanical aptitude and experience and not for the novice.
@281lxm - 1/2" stretch...you sure about that? A brand new chain is 73 3/4" in total length.

Yes i measured old and new, compared to your post with your picture. Mine was just shy of 1/2 longer than the new one.

Here is mine - very similar to yours Tbilisi79. Pretty face is right. A 1990 420SEL. Guides and Chain replaced. Intake sealed including donuts. Needs injectors I think. But I did a mistake. I got a new Febi tensioner installed. Not MB. The Indy did not steer me away from it.

Tinted windows as it is a FL car. Non standard Antenna. Mint Parchment color interior. I would like the non chrome AMG Aero Monoblocks rims as I think they look good in this model. But their price...

The usual question after that comment is who's the guy, where is he, and what's the shop phone number?
