White Gen1 Coupe "GAP-W 941" legendary Pic -where is it today

This photo has always fascinated me of this mint white Gen1 coupe with the 80's model posing on the bonnet in her leopard skin bathers but also i have since worked out it was taken in front the famous "Berlin Victory Column" in the Street called "StraBe des" that leads into the large roundabout called "Großer Stern" that surrounds the statue

That is a busy street and has the bricked paved centre for pedestrian use and also cars park there.
It appears a professional shoot based on the model used in the pic and its appears the pic was taken in the 80's and it is Berlin so it would appear a Germany owned car or even one of the surrounding countries - perhaps someone recognizes the license plate.

Does anybody know anything about this coupe and this pic
Was it a promo shoot for the car or perhaps a famous model of the 80's?
It appears a Lorinser body Kit so perhaps a Lorinser photo shoot but then they would have swapped out the license plate on for the pic.
Perhaps a Mafia Boss and his wife out for Sunday drive

Kim: One comment and one observation:

1. Your quote above is hilarious (and probably true) – you’re always good for a humorous aside within your usually knowledgeable comments.
2. The only thing I can see that might give you a clue to latch on to is that the rear spoiler appears (at least from the angle of the picture) to be one that has “sides or ends” that taper down to a point onto the rear quarter panel traveling towards the front, as opposed to the bottom, of the car at an almost flat angle. I’m old, but if memory serves I recall seeing such a spoiler in a pic on this site on a white car…

Enjoy yourself, Marco.

Mercedes made so many of these 126 Coupes I wouldn't be surprised if the car doesn't even exist today.

Depends on how hard they were ridden

And Tex, looks like rear has no fender lip there

Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints

Fender lip? I was focused on the hood ornament. I think there is a chrome lip on the rear but the photo angle only picked up the reflection. Part of the front lips reflection appears black as well.
