Shock Absorber Dust Covers

Hey,

So I just got my car back today after having work done on the front end (finally!). Everything went fine, however, I was told I needed to find dust covers for my shock absorbers. Apparently, you're supposed to take the dust covers off of your old shocks and put them on your new shocks (both according to my mechanic and some threads I found here on Benzworld). The problem? My car had some weird aftermarket shocks on them from the PO.

So does anyone have any recommendations on where or what type of dust covers I'm supposed to get? If it helps, the shocks I purchased were Bilstein TC B361183 comfort shocks.

The dust covers look like this:

They go over the exposed metal shaft of the shocks to protect them from damage caused by small rocks, mud, etc. They also protect the shock seal from damage as well.

My car has SLS, but I believe those SLS shocks are only in the rear. As far as I'm concerned, my rear shocks are still fine, but the front ones I had on the car were shot.

I might actually just put a couple of those universal boots on my shocks. I only go to the local junk yard during the Winter. You know, when it isn't 100+F all day long.

Those had a part number this whole time!?

Of course they had a part number...

I ordered them right now. THANK YOU!

Hopefully they don't arrive in some funky colour like green, but if they do, I'll live with it (or I'll paint them).

The are some kind of almond/light grey, IIRC. However, why do you care? You'll see them only when you get under the car. For sure they are not pink.

I'm under my car a lot. The last thing I want to see, aside from leaks, are neon green dust covers.

Almond looks okay.
