This Euro has the Webasto pre heater controls mounted in the coin box area.

I think the point is being missed here - this car is not in the US. Only in the US are they so cheap, because you seem to have so many I guess. Isn't it in Germany? (A place called Rust? How funny.)
Here and any other country I can think of, they are not common at all and good ones went up in value ages ago.

So it's still expensive, but not as ridiculous as you are thinking. I've seen them going for £30k on some rare occasions, excellent examples with the right spec. (Although there's no telling if some of them actually sell.)

In Germany they seem particularly expensive, perhaps because the salted roads = corrosion = eventually failing the safety test, which I believe is stringent there. Which would make this one really special, if it's as corrosion free as they say.

I have seen the occasional US imported example for quite high prices, I don't think that took off at all though. Corrosion free probably, but the US spec motors, bumpers, lights and so on, make it not a good buy.

This one looks really good but it doesn't float my boat at all.

Ps we have the coin tray, unless the Webasto is installed. Just not those things that go along the knee bolsters to put stuff in.

@ColoRich ,
It's the knee bolster coin tray I was talking about.

On the plus side,

1) It has provenance, on 2 pieces The Meister as well as Sacco the designer of c126 and the w126

2) Hydropneumatic Suspension

3) Webasto Pre Heater (rare in the usa)

4) Supposed Rebuild, Although the interior looks tired.

Yeah can't fault the extras really, I would absolutely love the Webasto and full hydro.
The only things this could have to make it better equipped would be four place seating, and trim in alcantara I guess.

Still, as always I'm very happy to see way overpriced cars like this, because it helps drive up the values in general & I can ask more from my agreed valuation insurance, potentially :-)
