Does anyone have a rear number plate lamp to body seal handy?

One of mine got twisted at sometime or other, is creased, and no longer seals properly.. causing the very intermittent 'bulb out' light to come on at times.

Its number 47 in the image A 126 826 00 58

If you have one, I'd love to replace mine when I put in the new bulbs.

Thanks

Unless the rubber is entirely dead, I have found that immersing this kind of seal in boiling water can allow enough softening to allow re-forming when you re-install.

But you do have to be quick and not let it appreciably cool before re-installation !

ANYONE PARTING A 2ND GEN 560SEL W126?

Just realized my big brake conversion just went sideways ...

I have one (1) ATE caliper which is damaged -- piston has busted off corners which is odd. So, this caliper is unusable.

I have one (1) Bendix caliper which appears rebuildable. Just got it disassembled and cleaning it up now.

Any real differences between ATE vs. Bendix ??? So, either sourcing 2 good rebuildable ATEs or just one Bendix ....

I would like some minty or not damaged front back brake rotor discs -- I think the correct part # is 126-420-04 44. I have both of them but one is damaged and the other one appears not damged but the finish is messed up.

One side has a snipped brake sensor arm, so I would need a whole unit also.

Anyone interested in an injector service as a swap depending on what you have, or other services such as lift pump rebuild? OFV spring?

PM Please / and just post you snappies here ...

If I did ever see a W126 at a yard, what's worth taking? Last one I saw I pulled a bunch of switches off of the center console, but wasn't sure what else was worth grabbing

Hi all,

My name is Steve and if anybody has a 1990/1991 350SD/350SDL that's in decent shape, under 175K miles, mostly original with regards to paint, mechanically sound and not too far from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, then I would be an interested buyer.

I used to own one of these beauties so I am very familiar with the dreaded bent rod problem that these cars are notoriously known for.

My dad is also a certified Mercedes-Benz Master Technician so I do not mind if the car needs some mechanical TLC.

E-mails and pictures could be sent to: [email protected]

Thanks again guys ! Cheers
