Exclamation 1987 420 For Sale Aurora CO USA

Country: USA
State: Colorado
City: Aurora
Price: $1,000.00 USD

Letís get over the bad.
My mechanic said it needed a new engine, it does run.
The transmission is slipping when you really step on the gas.
Iím sure the brakes are bad.
Itís been sitting for three years, covered.
Paint Fading On Hood and quarter Panels.
There was a period in the mid 90s when it was a company car and was abused by different employees, one guy ran it so fast that the tires blew up, all four of them.
Leaks Oil - on manifold too.
The Car cover began to fail and the car was tagged by a graffiti artist.
Some Door Dings. Most of which occurred more recently, after 2009, I know it not important when, but people seem to be bigger jerks when they park next to classics like this one.

The Good.
Yes the emblems are gold plated.
Straight NO ACCIDENTS.
Some Door Dings.
It does run.
Only 121xxx miles on it.

It is a two owner car, maybe three owner (I am not sure if my brother titled it). The Mercedes was a family car there was a period in the mid 90s where it was a company car and was abused by Different employees, one ran it so fast that the tires blew up all four of them and drove till the rims sparkled. Then it was our extra Vail Car getting very low mileage for many years.
I transferred title to myself for the car I want to say in 2009 and parked it in 2016, but the first time I drove it was in 1987. I donít have room for it Iíve been wanting To fix it up and drop some money into it, but I just donít have the time or the money. Itís just very straight body car, normal scratches and such for the age, this was a great car for me.

It needs some (lots) TLC $1000 firm.

Thanks to all who contribute. Pics and proper intro to come. However, as I am going through everything, I found my driver side air intake snorkel to have been chewed by mice. (pic attached). As it happens, and I am sure many of you are aware, this part is NLA. Crazy considering the passenger side is available everywhere.

So, to the point of this post. Obviously I am in the market for the OEM version. If anyone here may have one they are willing to part with, I would be very interested/appreciative.

I have read about the modifications others have done, but my goal is to keep close to original as possible.

I'm new to this forum, but have been active on MBworld under the same username for some time. Bought and sold several parts over there related to my W204 C63 Sedan.

Thanks!
I have an extra one of these available (part# 117 094 1982) that I would sell for $30 shipped (I have a second extra one, but probably good idea to keep one in the spare parts bin since it's NLA). Shoot me a DM if interested

If anyone needs the tubing for the other side (part# 117 094 03 82), I have 4 of those

Unfortunately that’s the passenger side which seems to be readily available. The drivers side is NLA.

WTB: Passenger Side Power Door Mirror - 1988 560SEC

Looking for a complete heated power passenger side door mirror for my US spec 1988 560SEC in gray metallic is possible. My searching at the local salvage yards have only turned up incorrect or broken units. The motors in mine are frozen and would love to get a working one. I can pay via Paypal and it would need to be shipped to Hutto TX 78634. Thank you!

Hardway, I hope you find one but if you don't, it's not too much trouble to unfreeze the motors. I've done it on two mirrors. Just disassemble down to the motors, spray in some DeOxit5, let soak, then start to move the shafts back and forth a little. All four motors I've done this on have loosened up and been put back in service.

I have a passenger side mirror assembly which has broken springs, but the rest seems to work

If you know how I can test the motor (wires to shift console are cut), I can figure out if it works and hook you up If interested, shoot me a DM
