Looking to either buy or rent an official klann or miller spring compressor. I do not want to risk my life using a chinese knock off one. Send me a PM.

Thanks

Needed: SEC Rear Window Gasket

Need SEC rear window gasket. I'll take new or used, genuine or aftermarket. Also, if anyone has a lead on someone parting out an SEC or a lead on where there is an SEC in a junk yard, I'd be much obliged.

@Jake007 - what sort of parts do you need? I have some decent exterior bits (sheet metal and glass) here and there and some excellent headlight doors / taillight lenses. Also some Gen I euro bumpers

No, no used rubber. Seems like something you'd want new. Don't know about aftermarket, but you can get a new OEM for $140 (MSRP $200) depending who you order from.

Aren't bumpers interchangeable between gens with some small difference?

If they'll go on a gen II, and the guy you offered them too doesn't want them, I'd pick them up local in NW FL. I have some family in SoGA I need to visit anyway.

Do you know of someone who has an SEC rear window gasket? I've spent the last 4 hrs calling all over the country and I'm told it does not exist in the US or Germany.

I had my rear windshield resealed. They cut out the old window seal and installed the new one on my sec. that’s the only way to remove a rear windshield in the SEC. so good luck trying to find a used one. I used one bought from my local MB dealer.

Good luck.

Agreed, with a couple of members here having done the rear window rubber replacement they said NEW rubber and OEM (dealer part) is the best way to go. The dealer rubber includes if/when replacing boot lid seal and door seals

Yes the bumpers are interchangeable (assuming change from US to Euro) as long as you have the correct Euro brackets and you will be scrapping the bumper shocks as well as trimming the extra front tow loop (US version) off of the Euro loop welded to the frame
