320ce wont start

Hey, im having problem with my engine not starting after engine swap. Engine cranks over, i measured the crank sensor ok and do have signal from it when cranking. Have fuel at the fuel rail and I have 12v positive to the injectors and 12v positive to the ignition coils but I also have constant negative to the coils and no pulse when i crank the engine. Could the engine harness be the problem or did i not wire the ecu right up? Engine harness has a part number of 124 440 5232 and the ecu is 013 545 1532 and the loom that powers the ecu is 124 440 6905

Was it a like for like swap?
Have you re connected the main earthing braid at the bell housing to chassis?
Did the engine harness come with the replacement engine or did you use your existing one?
The date on the harness is the important factor.

M104.980 to m104.992. Bought the car with the 3.2 liter engine in the car and there was no ecu or harness. So i bought a harness that would work with my engine and an ecu that matched the harness. Everything seems to be working but i dont understand why i dont have the spark. I want to know or understand what controls the spark. And also why i dont have negative pulse to injectors. Maybe i just forgot one ground? Does anybody have a pinout of the ecu? What pin should get ground and what should get positive

so you have all the engine bits from the 3.2 too? coil over ignition, the HFM-SFI mass airflow sensor, air box, the injectors and intake manifold, etc? all the modules from the 3.2's electronics bay?

main engine wiring diagram...

and the CC/ICS (cruise control, idle control system) for a non-ASR car

the EA/CC/ICS for an ASR car,

note these are all for the US models, I have no idea what differences .EU models might have.
the main power stuff (battery, alternator, starter, etc) for an HFM-SFI car,

the rest of the 1993-1995 wiring diagrams are indexed here, 2nd part of the page.

Yes, i have the vdo ecu 013 545 1532 and the green fuel pump relay 001 542 9619 and 6 cyl kickdown relay. Also changed the ovp from the red with 2 10 ah fuses to the tall 000 540 67 45 with one 15 ah fuse. Dont know what other modules the m104.992 needs. But i have seen some m104 meant ecu’s made by bosch with only one plug. I always thought that was for dofferent cars like thise ehi had cruise control or asr.My ecu has two plugs. One that feeds it grounds and positive like input and one that plugs to maf, injectors, coils and sensors and throttle body. If i am missing something then please let me know
