"AMG" 300TE 1991

Hello All - I am the new owner of this car, 1991 300TE with amg parts and steering wheel. It is lowered, too low, and I wanted to raise it to a more usable ht for driving but am not sure what path to follow.

I put in 4 dot rubber pads on the front to stop the wheels from rubbing - Lorenser 8x17 ET44 with spacers - running 215/45 tires.

Any suggestions on springs to bring the ht back a more normal ht.?

Welcome to the 124 forum and to new ownership of the TE.

Where you want the ride height to be depends on you. Obviously, the previous owner was more into "looks" than functionally. Bigger rims and a "slammed" stance are not a recipe for everyday use. Installing stock springs would be my first move if it were my money or a set of H & R front springs. Fine tune with various pads, as you've already attempted. The rear can be adjusted slightly by manipulation of the connecting rod between the leveling valve and sway bar.

Using the forum search tool will show you many, many post on this subject.

Again, welcome

Jayare

Thx Jayare, you are always great with advise on this forum. I looked at old posts but everyone is posting about lowering their car not raising it to a normal ht. I ordered the lesjofors springs (2) for the front and some one bump pads, since i have four and three now. I hope to raise the rear to meet the ht of the front.
