Question Interior Door Trim NLA?

I'm new to the W123 world. My '85 came with these thin plastic, wrinkly, shriveled "casings" inside the door around the windows. They were brittle and cracking. It seems like they slip into the weatherstripping and under the door cards at their ends to hold them on the door.

So they're visually ugly and rubbed against the door frame. Long story short I removed them.

Seems like they're not available anywhere.

Anybody know where they can be found or sourced?

Basically they are just a vinyl wrap glued to the window frame, if you have any pieces left then an upholstery shop should be able to get a close match to the original colour. I've toyed with the idea of removing mine and just painting the frames to match the interior but haven't decided yet.

I think if they were in perfect shape they might help with road/wind noise.

I believe they are on US cars and not on the Euro cars. Should be painted the car color underneath, so a lot of guys just remove them. They seem to just break apart and then just clean up the painted surface under them.

@VON , I think I just browsed your instagram from a 280CE posting on BaT. Is that beautiful green wagon yours?

Anyway, my car is euro and has(had) these shriveled things on it. Yes, the door is painted body color underneath.

My grey market euro 300D never came with them my 79 that was built as a us spec car had them. True grey market cars never had them....these are usually the ones with cloth interiors, if someone sprung for leather/mb tex I am sure they were added too...

My euro '85 is cloth interior with them. It's possible someone removed them from yours prior to your ownership?

Not true, my Euro example has them and a number of Euro cars came with it. Supposedly, they were optional... but I believe all of them came with these trim at one point.
