Did you look at his feedback before you bought it?

The car was sold three times and/plus one buyer states it as misrepresented as it is orange not red...

Going through the ebay auction, the color he mentions is non existent and on the vin plate shot you can see the color differences, also if you blow up the engine shot on ebay that you posted...you will see over spray on the windshield gasket n crowl vent plus that gasket is severely cracked...

Thanks for replying... where do you see that the same car was sold 3 times? I see that on another car that is in fact what happened, but I donít see that here. Can you point me in the right direction? I did see the bit of overspray.

If you look at his completed listings, you will see your the third person to buy the car....

If you look at his feedback, though "private" you can tell one feedback was about this car, the person suing him...may or may not be...

Personally I wouldn't have touched this with a 10 foot pole, unless I looked it over in person...

I don't think the color complaint is about that car, as it states its within the last year. And if it is this car the color "English Red" is better than the red, and worth more! Buyer does seem to be a bit sleazy, but the car does not look too bad. Just change out the seats for some in Palomino, which should be east to find and enjoy. None of use will know how good it is without seeing it, or at least good detailed photos that have not been photoshopped to the hilt!

Von-

Unless the contrast is drastically out of adjustment on my phone the car certainly doesnít appear to be English Red to me. I owned an English Red 560SL in college. Donít have a pic of the SL or Iíd post.

Thanks for all the replies, and the feedback heads up...

I spent a fair amount of time cross referencing all of the feedbacks and previous auctions for same car. The negative feedback is both for the same car, not this one. I agree that the pics are filtered, I did attach two photos that are not filtered that I asked him to send me.

Can you give me a bit of direction on where to find seats?

If you simply want to recover the seats new Tex skins can be had very reasonably. Try German Auto Tops for new Tex or leather. There might be some used material floating around but by this point itís more than likely too worn.

Iíve just ordered creme beige leather from them for the 85 coupe. German Auto Tops, from what Iíve read, supplies GAHH Automotive with the seat material kits sold under their name.
