Original Tires

Hi

I am trying to confirm what the original tyres are on these cars.

I thought it was 205/70VR14 Michelin XWX. Then i saw this article suggesting the the 205/70VR14 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 was also an OE tyre, which is good news because Pirelli have started making them again.

The Pirelli P Zero tires I had a while back were like the worst tire I’ve ever bought. Be weary of the Pirelli brand IMO. Shadow of its former self.

I don't think it is fair to slam Pirelli like that. the F1 tyres that they making seem to be pretty good.

I think the important thing as far as Classic Merc owners is that this Cinturato CN36 is great. Ther is an article from a German magazine comparing classic tyres on this web page https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/cla...11.html#page=6 the article is for Porsche, in a different size but it is still valid.
