Hey everyone,
First time posting in the 116 forum. I have a 1977 Euro 6.9 in somewhat deplorable condition, but solid and complete.
This is a bit of a lazy post on my part because I don’t want to clear space and time to start pulling apart the interior to follow these wires. Too many other Benzes in the works. But the curiosity is killing me.
On the two rear doors and under the steering column, there are these big rubber buttons. I have never seen these before in any vehicle. This was originally a German-delivered vehicle, imported to Massachusetts in 1985. It has a Motorola phone and a later Blaupunkt head unit.
Does anyone have any idea what these things do? Seems like they could be emergency panic buttons or something of the like considering the concealed placement under the column.
Thanks guys.
