Should be in the W116 Haynes manual. Many thanks.
Thanks for responding, the folks at Sternzeit 107 sent me the enclosed info.
Now I have absolutely no idea what tranny is in my 75' 107042, The dimension for "C"
is 150mm.
Should be more specific. Dimension "C" on my tranny is 150mm. If you set the arm to 95mm
the shift rod is an inch short. EPC says the G76/27-5 was the only unit used in the 280SL, my
info from Germany is that the .000, the 2 piece, with seperate bell, cast iron cased 5 spd was used until 1975 when
the 5-spd option was dropped. They brought the option back in 1983 but with the .400, one piece aluminum
series. I only asked about the 107042 not up on any other models. Any other info you have would be appreciated.
Enclosed is the photo they sent me, .000 on the left .400 on the right.
